Christ the King Catholic Church and School follow the Archdiocese of St. Louis Safe Environment Program (Protecting God's Children). The purpose of the Safe Environment Program is to create and maintain a safe environment for all God's children. All employees, volunteers, religious, priests, and deacons who work with or near children must be compliant with the Safe Environment Program of the Archdiocese of Saint Louis set forth by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops.
PREVENT AND PROTECT
Archdiocese of St. Louis Safe Environment Program
Are you a volunteer at Christ the King Parish and/or School or planning to volunteer? Please remember that all volunteers who work with children or vulnerable adults must be in compliance with the Safe Environment Program of the Archdiocese of St. Louis. Everyone (clergy, employees and volunteers) ministering to minors and vulnerable adults in the Archdiocese is required to complete the Prevent and Protect program. Requirements for this program include: register in the system (www.preventandprotectstl.org / passcode: stlprotect) and complete a Protecting God’s Children workshop, online requirements including registering for a backgound screening, viewing two online training modules, and agree to the updated Code of Conduct by signing a digital copy. For those who have already attended a Protecting God’s Children workshop, your previous training date will transfer to this new system. You will not need to repeat that class. Additional details and instructions for registering can be found on the parish website at https://www.ctkstl.com/safe-environment. Contact Karen Sheridan in the parish office with any questions or for further assistance.
